Our Modalities
Dry Needling with Electrical Stimulation
Dry needling with electrical stimulation is a treatment in which sterile needles are strategically inserted into specific trigger points in the muscles. Electrical probes are attached to the ends of the needles, sending small electrical currents through the tissue, aiding in blood flow, accelerated healing, pain relief, muscle relaxation, & improved range of motion.
McKenzie Extension & Flexion Table
Created by Hill Laboratories & Robin McKenzie, the REPEX McKenzie Extension & Flexion Table is an automatic mechanical therapy tool that utilizes end-range movement to repeatedly stretch out the spine. This repetition of flexion & extension can lead to measurable, positive results for those with disc injuries, leg pain, acute lower back pain, or chronic lower back pain.
Flexion Distraction
Flexion distraction is the act of controlled stretching with guided pressure to decompress the spine. This gentle treatment aids in the recovery of spinal disc injuries, stiffness, numbness, & localized or referred pain.
Pin & Stretch
The pin & stretch technique combines precise tension (the pin) & motion (the stretch) to restore mobility to stiff muscles & aid in rehabilitation.
Cold Laser Therapy
Using continuous-wave beams of light, cold laser therapy treats various musculoskeletal conditions by accelerating cell proliferation, leading to increased cell regeneration. At Ednie Chiropractic & Rehab, we utilize Class 3B lasers. Unlike other, higher intensity classes of lasers, these do not emit heat when used. It is a non-invasive treatment option.
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is the use of electrical currents to stimulate nerve cells. The electrical currents may block pain signals to the brain and/or increase endorphin production, the body’s natural pain reliever. leading to non-invasive, short-term pain relief.
Intersegmental Traction Roller Table
This therapeutic table possesses two sets of adjustable back rollers which raise or lower to create a relaxing massage for the muscles surrounding the spine. Heated & vibrating, the rollers slowly move along the spine, from the upper thoracic to lower lumbar regions.
Spinal Adjustment
Spinal adjustments are the precise application of high-velocity, low-amplitude motion to specific areas of the spine. Spinal adjustments are used to treat back & neck pain, increase mobility, & promote muscle relaxation.
